This is a place to relax in... Birdy cottage is just around the corner from the Greytown village so not far to go for your morning coffee and paper.  The sun circles the house so there's always a sunny spot to relax in while reading one of the hundreds of interior, fashion or gardening magazines we supply for your enjoyment. The log burner ensures everyone stays warm and cosy in winter. There's plenty of dry kindling and fire wood neatly stacked under cover to keep the burner stoked. In summer rest on a sun lounger in the lovely semi-formal garden under the shade of the sycamore tree and help yourself to a strawberry or 10 from our raised beds.  Pick some roses to enjoy or better still, take some home to enjoy.  The cottage has a very comfortable Design Mobel queen sized bed with 100% cotton sheets. There are handcrafted quilts for use in summer with light wool blankets and in the winter a luxurious duck down duvet and electric blanket.  The bunks in the second bedroom also have a bed underneath which can be wheeled out. This allows 3 people to sleep in this room.  There is a day bed in the lounge for siestas and toys and DVD/videos for the children. There is also a cot available for very young children. Small lap dogs are welcome although there is no fencing out the front of the cottage.  The kitchen is 'cute', but simple. We like it that way and it encourages eating out, rather than in, which requires work, and we want to avoid that. In summer the BBQ is another simple option. Tariff: Minimum 2 night stay $250.00 for 2 nights for 2 people. Extra people are $20 each per night. We are happy to offer reduced rates for longer stays.
